Thanks to everyone who joined us on Saturday at Good Neighbor Day, organized by the University of Maryland’s Office of Community Engagement.
We had a great time talking to all of the volunteers and attendees. Crews went out, even in the rainy weather, to pick up trash and remove invasive plants species from area green spaces, and to sort food donations from around the City. We were especially proud of the volume of the food that ended up being donated to Meals on Wheels and the College Park Community Food Bank.
A very special thanks to our friends Emily Adams and Gloria Aparicio Blackwell for organizing such a successful event, and for inviting us to participate. We can’t wait for next year!
