Thanks to everyone who came out to the 2nd Annual College Park Book Festival. Congratulations to the sponsors, the College Park Community Library and the College Park Lions Club, for a fun and successful event.
We were there with information about our upcoming fundraiser, A Taste of Spring, pens and stickers to give away, the chance to sign up for our email list, and most importantly, crafting opportunities for the many creative kids in attendance.
Board members Richard Morrison and Jackie Pearce Garrett worked the display table, while board members Peggy Kane and Patrick Wojahn attended in other capacities. Thanks to the College Park Lions Club for the photo below.
The College Park Community Library was established in 2012 as a way to bring the community together through reading, events, free internet access, as a gathering place for community meetings, and more. They now have more than 100 members and more than 9,000 books. Check them out at 9704 Rhode Island Avenue in the lower level of the Church of the Nazarene. Schedule and more details here.
