Summer Events at the College Park Community Library

Afternoon and evening events during the summer months.
Evening of Games on Monday and Thurs. nights from 7 – 8:30 All ages!  Children under 8 must be accompanied by their parents .
KIDS Afternoon of Games on Thursday 1 – 4:00  Bring your favorite games and play with friends.
Saturday Game Day!  1st and 4th from 12 – 3
The library has a small selection of games but welcome donations!
Bella, our resident beagle, will listen to children ages 5-12 read their favorite stories. Join her on the 2nd Sat. 12 – 3:00
Kirby, our lovable pup, can’t wait to listen to children ages 5-12 read to him on the 3rd Sat. 10-12:00
Story Time Wed. mornings 10:30 – 11:15  Ages 16 – 36 months
Drop In Story Time Tues. afternoon 1 – 4:00  All ages.
Young readers program    Children interested in reading during the Drop In Story Time on Tues. afternoons 1 – 4:00 are always welcome!
Local events:
Boy Scout Troop 740 will hold a Chicken BBQ Fundraiser to benefit the College Park Meals on Wheels.  June 23 (Rain date June 30th)  DuVal Field, Rhode Island Ave. 1/2 chicken, baked beans, coleslaw and roll $9.00.  Sales begins at 12 noon.  Preorders Contact:  Mike Mehalick 301-275-5078
Hollywood Farmers Market
Saturdays from June 1 – Oct. 26th 8:00 – 12:00.  Located in the parking lot next to REI.
Plants, crafts, baked goods, fresh local produce, free range eggs, meats, gardening and cooking demo, family and kids activities and more.
The library has lap tops to use with free wifi access.
Book your next meeting at the library!
Book discussion on the 4th Thursday 7 – 8:30.  We’ll discuss Life of Pi  this month.
Students needing community service hours can volunteer with our program.
